Solar Systems Power The University of California Davis
Solar System Production
This 289 kilowatt system is estimated to produce 414,000 kilowatt-hours in the first year. First-year output from all seven sites together is estimated at 1.1 million kilowatt-hours, or 1,100 megawatt-hours.
Environment Benefits of Solar
UC Davis is committed to environmental stewardship. The solar electric system will help reduce the University’s carbon footprint by 800 metric tons annually — the equivalent of taking more than 150 passenger vehicles off the road. Additionally, UC Davis will be hedging against utility price inflation by producing its own solar electricity.
